Spring Cleaning

Tomorrow my sorority has our big senior farewell event. Our family trees will be writing poems to say goodbye to us and us seniors will be "passing down" all of the MASS amounts of Sigma stuff we have collected over the years. The thing I am most looking forward to passing down is my awesome collection of costumes for all our themed events. I hope you all get a good giggle out of the costumes my friends and I have worn.

This Halloween I was Angelica Pickles from the Rugrats...

I was also a bumble bee....

An Indian....

The list of costumes I have continues with a camo dress, an elf costume, hideous Christmas sweaters and many more. It is fascinating how much time and money I have wasted on costumes throughout college. But they each bring back a special memory that I will surely miss.

Happy Tuesday!

Southern State of Mind.

Today, I am in a very southern state of mind. With my hair curled, dress on, and cowgirl boots as my accessory I feel totally consumed in preparing for my post graduation southern life. One thing I am looking forward to, is a new home with new grown up stuff. Naturally, it will all have Southern style. The number one thing I cannot wait to throw out in two weeks is my college comforter. And what exactly do I want to replace it with???

This Beauty.
If you ask me its blue background and gorgeous floral pattern are just perfect. Pottery Barn has the best stuff!

And as for bowls and dishes. I don't accept anything too nice. But I would love these to start off with. I think they're fun and young without being too "college"
I'm so blessed to have parents that will be supporting me as I start off in Charlotte. I can't wait to have my own place to be able to entertain people at. It will definitely help me feel a little more grown up.

Somewhere Only We Know.

Last night was my very last Sigma formal. And let's just say, we went out with a bang. I know that all friends love each other, but with my friends it's just different. I never knew that it was possible to have a group of friends who are so fiercely loyal, so supportive, and love each other this much.

PC 08... I live for us.

I decided that for my last formal, I would take a risk and dawn a white dress. I was terrified it would get spilled on, but in fact it survived perfectly. My date Spencer and I are the only two of our friends moving to Charlotte after graduation and I'm so thankful to have him for next year!
And lastly a little photo montage to one of my favorites... Brooke Shore. Check out how we have grown from our first Sigma Formal to our very last.

The Real World

What a whirlwind this week has been. I want to start off by sharing a photo of my banquet date and I. Fraternity banquets are such a huge part of Elon life and I had the perfect date. It was such a good way to start my last few weeks here. Banquet brought some of my best memories of senior year. "No Feelings"
Right after the perfect weekend, I received my first job offer and accepted. What a time of mixed feelings in my life. I am so blessed to have a job waiting for me with three weeks until graduation. I will be working at Addison Whitney, a top brand consulting firm in their Charlotte office. I have worked so hard throughout my time at Elon and I truly do deserve this.

But on that same token, having a job makes it all real. In a mere 15 days, I will be leaving my friends. I am the only one moving to Charlotte. It terrifies me and breaks my heart that I won't have my girls with me. Somewhere along the lines, my friends stopped being my sorority sisters and became my family.

Whirlwind of Emotions has set in.

Cooler Connection

Over the past few days I have been completely MIA from the blogger scene partially due to Easter and partially due to this....

What is this you may ask.... Well, this weekend are the fraternity banquets at Elon. In return for inviting you and paying for you, the girl has to make a cooler for their date. This is mine. Ten hours later, and a few tears shed I must say that I'm pretty proud of it!

The Basket

So for my readers from the South, you know that as Easter is approaching it is typical to fill your house with festive decorations for the holiday including Easter Egg Baskets. As my friends from the North have told me, Yankees don't tend to decorate for smaller occasions ( fascinating!). But in my household, we have the perfect decorations for every moment of the year.

Martha Stewart has beautiful baskets that can be used as household decorations. My favorites are...

My parents still give each of us kids an Easter Basket after church on Sunday. For years though my moms has been adding more fun items and less candy to the mix. Below are some great ideas to make the Easter Egg Basket a little more exciting!

We Get It On Most Every Night.

Today I am celebrating Tri Sigma Founders Day. For those of you who don't know, being a member of Sigma has truly defined my college years. Being the Chapter President is something I will be so proud to tell my kids about one day. With graduation right around the corner it is hard to imagine my life without my chapter. So in honor of the day I want to share a few memories from the four best years of my life with the most amazing sisters I could ask for. While my family plays a huge role in my plans for the future, so do these girls, because they are truly my soul mates.

Happy Holidays for PC 08..
My dedicated Trio.

Lastly, Greek Week Dance 2011. What's Greek Week Dance you may ask? Well check out this link, I was in the dance and  I promise its great!

If you have a daughter, encourage her join a sorority because my mother can attest to how Sigma has changed me for the better. Some people say its all about paying for friends, and if that is what you think, I can assure you I didn't pay enough. The memories I've made and the friends I have found will stay with me forever.

 I literally live for us.
